It’s not always a matter of sexism. As a girl majoring psychology, this is my perspective: studies show that males agree to sex with strangers more often than females. Not saying that all texts lead to sex, but after playing the flirting-to-talking-to-dating game, what’ll keep the girl from thinking that she is dispensable? There are other variables, I understand, but I’m trying to keep this short.
